It addresses the physiological component of alcohol cravings, not the spiritual or emotional components.
The author, writing under a pseudonym, struggled with alcohol and so developed this program for those for whom AA or clinical treatment would not be desirable options. It is a college level course from Penn State University and you can take this course on line for credit. Highly recommend .. This is truly a dreadful book.
The author attempts to do something loosely along the lines of Samuel Eliot Morison's "Admiral of the Ocean Sea," a fascinating, though dated, book that combines Morison's knowledge of the sea and sailing with a biography of Columbus. There may have been other, more emotional reasons. It is also the story of the murder of a Russian tax lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky who worked for Browder. In one chapter, the two women share excerpts from their journals to demonstrate aspects of the program and how they responded.
