Among other things, his book discusses briefly but well the dilemma the founders faced over slavery. After going through the chapter and following along with the examples, everything seemed crystal clear. This is a great book of classic religious songs. This book does not contain much of what most people mean by "light verse". It's exactly what I was looking for and i'm glad I bought it. There's insight about Bill's playing in each. I love the moments of humor as well. For those who want to work in this field or simply interested in this topic, it is a quite good reference.. The book was in new condition.. He convincingly rejects the 'tropical disease' explanation in favor of an anxiety disorder. He argues that most people had no interest in nationhood because a broad national vision would be inconsistent in some ways with their limited goals such as avoiding taxation and living beyond their means.
