The book is well illustrated with helpful maps that show you the geography of Darwin's childhood and of the Beagle's voyage and portraits of Darwin at various ages and of his relatives and colleagues.
This is one of those biographies during the course of which you begin to get to know and empathize with the subject. What I did not expect was a book that was so hard to put down that it would keep me up late reading. My copy was found in the discounted section of my bookstore.. It was Magnitsky's dogged investigation and testimony against the thieves that exposed a much larger organization of criminal activity. He managed to get the famous billionaire investor Edmond Safra to put up the initial money for the fund and went on to make huge profits.
